Ray S. Goyings 2024 Ray S. Goyings, 92, passed away on May 15, 2024 after a brief illness. Ray was born Dec. 9, 1931 to William and Mary (Unger) Goyings. He was one of the surviving members of Paulding High School Class of 1949. Ray was a life-long Paulding County farmer. He married Dorothy Todd on Oct. 26, 1952 and they celebrated 69 1/2 years of marriage before her passing in Aug. 2022. Ray and Dorothy were blessed with three children: Steve (Joanie) Goyings, Doug (Diane) Goyings of Paulding and Melinda (Chris) Walters of Antwerp. He was a proud Grandpa to six grandchildren: Stephanie (Scott) Pier, Trent (Kelly) Goyings, Jeremy (Jessica) Goyings, Chelsie (Justin) Ross, Christina Burk and Brent... Coe F. Gordon 2024 Coe F. Gordon, 92, of Paulding passed away on May 14, 2024 at Paulding County Hospital. He was born June 11, 1931, the son of Coe F. Gordon, Sr. and Alma (Saum) Gordon. He graduated from Paulding High School in 1949 where he played football and trumpet in the marching band. He attended Defiance College for 3 years, then joined the US Air Force. During his 20 years of service, he was a jet fighter pilot, then he earned his electrical engineering degree from the University of Michigan; he spent a year in Turkey listening in on Soviet communications; he was a missile silo commander at Nellis AFB in Montana, where he also completed his Master's Degree with the Air Force Institute of...
